The Search Portugal
The Search is a surfing trip for those who are looking for a surfing adventure a little out of the ordinary. We are going to search for the best waves from Algarve in the south to Peniche in the north, in the winter months when Portugal gets the best and biggest waves of the year. There will always be a good wave regardless of wave direction and wind, unless the entire Atlantic Ocean is flat, which rarely happens, especially during the winter season.
Level Intermediate | Advanced
You need to be comfortable surfing on head-high waves and be able to catch head-high waves.
November | March
For surfers, the wintertime in Portugal is equal to the peak of the surf season.
Transportation
Transfer t/f Lisbon Airport and transport around Portugal searching for waves included.
Surfing every day
Surf guiding for 5 days with a minimum of 2 surf sessions per day.
Program
Sunday | Arrival day
You arrive at Lisbon Airport where you will get picked up and driven to Ericeira (only 40 min drive). Here you meet with our guides and instructors to review weather forecasts and plan the next days searching for the best waves.
Monday - Friday
The program is not determined in advance and we will search for the best waves. Depending on where we find waves, we have a good handful of hotels and apartments to choose from so that we can stay close to the best waves every night. Friday evening we arrive in Ericeira, the perfect city to finish the week’s road trip, with great local restaurants and cozy cafes and bars.
Saturday | Departure day
We start with breakfast. If time permits, you can take a quick surf session. Then we say goodbye and thank you for a great trip. There is check-out at 10 and transfer will be arranged with our guide.

Surf & Wellness Camp | Relax
Surf & Wellness Camp is an intensive program for those seeking to improve their surfing alongside learning about the importance of nutrition in sports. The camp is going to take place in Ericeira, home of the second World Surfing Reserve in the World, creating perfect conditions for improving your surfing. Only 45min away from the legendary waves of Supertubos, in Peniche and Carcavelos, in Cascais. The base will be set at LaPoint Surf Camp in Ericeira, where our guests will enjoy the amenities of a one-of-a-kind Surf Hotel. Our special partner Lisa Mueller will be teaching healthy eating habits and cooking nutritious meals during the event.
Lisa
Originally from Austria, has always had a passion and interest in holistic health studies, nutrition, and sports. Lisa has been a professional chef for 9 years and was living / working in New York, Melbourne, Bali, Austria, London, Cornwall, Berlin and France. She is collaborating with different lifestyle and sports brands like Nike, Reebok, Zalando, Roxy, Adidas etc. as a chef and nutritionist for yoga, surf, movement, and holistic health related events.
Tiago
Tiago Pires is the best Portuguese surfer of all time. With an enormous competitive experience, Tiago is the camp’s mentor. Throughout the 6 days of our camp, we will follow his instructions and teaching guidelines to ensure maximum quality sessions and surf development. Tiago will be present during the Camp where he will share all his knowledge.
Ericeira Mindset
The camp takes place at Ericeira, the best surfing hub in Europe. Only a 40 minutes’ drive from Lisbon and you are having some of the best waves in the World.

What surfing level prerequisites are needed?
We accept students of all levels! The weekly activities will be adapted to the level of ALL Participants.
Where is it?

Can my children bring their surfboards/skateboards?
Of course! If your kids have a wetsuit, they can also bring it.
Is there any meeting room around?
NO, there is a multi-use room in Boardriders that can be used for a lot of purposes.
What is the max capacity for events?
We can do big events, but inside of water at the same time, our capacity is 30 people.
What are the Camp goals?
The main goal of this camp is to focus on surfing development techniques while having a healthy lifestyle.
