Group lessons are for people with little to no experience surfing that want to learn the basics and experiment being on the water. We’ll give you a fun and encouraging introduction to surfing and share the stoke of catching your first wave! Our experienced instructors will teach you, help you develop your skills and help you catch as many waves as possible!

Where are the surf lessons?
The surf lessons take place at Matouro Beach, located near the charming town of Ericeira. Additionally, we also offer lessons at Fonte da Telha Beach, conveniently situated right next to our school facilities.
What time are the lessons?
The lessons are scheduled according to the tides and the weather conditions.
Can I use my wetsuit?
Yes, for sure. You are welcome to use your equipment.
Can I keep surfing after the lessons finish?
YES! And we encourage you to do so. For a small booking fee, you can keep your surfboard and wetsuit after the lesson.
My group has more than 5 people. Can I buy a group lesson?
Group classes are for a maximum of 5 people due to safety concerns and for the instructor to pay attention to all students in the group. If your group has more than 5 people you should buy 2 group lessons and try to schedule them at the same time.
Is there a safe place I can leave my belongings?
Yes. We have a private changing room and you can leave your phone and wallet in our safe.

Surf Guide is for intermediate, advanced, or experienced surfers who want to take advantage of local knowledge. If you want to know all about Ericeira World Surf Reserve and live a day as a Local Surfer this is for you.

Surf Breaks
We will introduce popular surf spots in Ericeira, highlighting the best surf breaks for different skill levels. We also teach you to understand the unique characteristics and challenges of each of these surf spots and provide information about wave conditions and seasons.
Surf Safety
We will always pay attention to education on ocean safety, including currents and existing hazards. We also share proper surf etiquette and demonstrate how to navigate crowded surf spots and share the waves respectfully.
Surf Technique
Experienced coaches will analyze your surfing style, identifying areas for improvement and providing targeted feedback. Topics such as posture, rowing, efficiency on the wave, speed, maneuvers and control of the board will be worked on.

I'm a beginner in surfing practice. Can I subscribe to the Surf Guide?
The Surf Guide program is designed for intermediate to advanced surfers. If you are a beginner, we advise you to start with private surf lessons.
Surf Coaching
Next level
Take your surfing to the next level with an intensive training program. 9 hours program. With your local coach you’ll make a recon of your surf level, after that you’ll draw your goals. With all that information you and your coach will decide the best surf spots depending on your objectives to be able to teach the best techniques. With the advanced technique of video analysis, your coach will show your mistakes and your progression. In the end, we’ll give you a file with the videos and the coach’s notes.

Surfing is a sport that connects the physical and the mental. We will share focus, concentration and calming techniques in pressure situations, which will help improve your performance in terms of balance, strength, flexibility and breathing.
